Concrete Floor Surveying

Precision at Its Finest

01
Precision Equals Efficiency

When it comes to ensuring the highest standards in concrete floor construction, precision is key. Our specialized surveying service for concrete floors delivers unparalleled accuracy, meeting and exceeding industry expectations. We utilize the latest automated robotic profiler technology to measure floor flatness and levelness, ensuring your floors meet the stringent F-min standard.

02

Why Get Your Concrete Floors Surveyed?

Floor flatness is essential for the performance of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), but it is especially vital for Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) industrial trucks. As warehouse operations push the limits with increasing heights and speeds, the need for precise floor flatness becomes even more critical.

Enhanced Structural Integrity

Accurate measurements prevent uneven surfaces, reducing wear and tear on equipment and minimizing maintenance costs.

Increased Safety

A level floor is essential for safety in any environment. Our precise measurements help create a safer working space, reducing the risk of accidents.

Optimized Performance

Whether it’s for heavy machinery, forklifts, or other equipment, a perfectly flat and level floor ensures optimal performance and longevity of your assets.

Assessing High-Tolerance Floors

FF, FL, and F‑min ratings are critical because they quantify how flat and level a concrete floor is, ensuring super‑flat slabs can support high‑speed forklifts, robotics, and VNA systems without vibration or safety risks. These measurements provide an objective standard for performance, guaranteeing the floor meets the precision tolerances required for modern automated facilities.

FF (Flatness Number)

The FF number measures the degree of waviness or undulations in the floor surface over short distances. A higher FF number indicates a flatter floor, which is crucial for the smooth operation of equipment, especially in areas where high precision is required, such as for Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks.

FL (Levelness Number)

The FL number assesses the overall slope or tilt of the floor over longer distances. Maintaining a high FL number ensures that the floor is level across the entire surface, which is vital for the safe movement of goods and personnel.

F-min Standard Compliance

The F-min standard is the benchmark for flatness and levelness in concrete flooring, particularly for environments where precision is critical, such as warehouses, distribution centers, and high-traffic commercial spaces. Our service ensures compliance with this standard, providing you with floors that are not only structurally sound but also optimized for performance.

Floor Flatness & MHE Performance

Achieving Perfection

1. Importance of Flatness

Floor flatness is essential for the performance of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), but it is especially vital for Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) industrial trucks. As warehouse operations push the limits with increasing heights and speeds, the need for precise floor flatness becomes even more critical.

2. Choosing Standards

While existing standards such as DIN 18202, DIN 15185, and technical recommendations like TR34 represent the basic floor flatness tolerances, they may not fully address the specific requirements for VNA trucks. For these cases, more stringent standards like VDMA, EN 15620, or FEM 10.2.14-1 should be specified and adhered to. These standards ensure that your floors are optimized for the demanding performance needs of VNA trucks, preventing costly operational issues and enhancing overall safety.

Why It Matters Now

2025

Automation is evolving faster than most floors were built to handle. As facilities get denser and equipment gets more precise, the slab underneath has gone from a construction afterthought to a performance-critical asset — yet flooring decisions are still made too late in the process. This partnership closes that gap.

Facilities are getting denser.
Higher bays, narrower aisles, and tighter storage put more demand on every square foot of slab.

Equipment is getting more precise.
Modern material-handling systems operate to tolerances that older floors were never specified to meet.

Robots are getting more sensitive.
AGVs, AMRs, and ASRS react to floor deviations a forklift would never notice — and so do their sensors.

Capital is on the line.
More investment now rides on a stable, accurate, durable floor than ever before.
